Shawn Mercer: Calendar

So weird... after confirming this gig I never heard from the organizer again... "I'll send you the check..." was the last I heard... no directions, no check, no calls or emails returned to me. Just plain weird.

The folks who put on the festival have done a fantastic job. What a fun day of live Maine blues music!! We can't wait for next year.

We had a blast with the folks at Woodman's. Orono was great. We'll be back in the Fall. Thanks to the Kappa Sig guys who came out for the fun.

What a fantastic night of fun. We opened our set in a canoe... on stage... we got a few chuckles, and the rest of the set went well. Thanks to Tree By Leaf, Eric Horshack, Julianne Gardner, and Willy Kelly for helping support the Wildlands.

The cafe was very cool, and the folks were nice. It was a long drive... 11:00am-5:00pm and 11:00pm-5:00am!!

I hope we can make it over to Montpelier again sometime.

Well, we didn't win the contest... we lost to a rockin' cover band called Deja Blue... a nice bunch of guys. Anyway, we had a great time, and scored a good gig for the summer... so we consider our losing effort a big success.

Thanks to the Dogfish for having us, and to Lea Finklstein for opening. The Thurs. night crowd was small, but we still had them up and dancing. Good fun!!

30 folks came out in the freezing weather to support our troops, and the message that we need to bring them home now. H.O.M.E. was a fantastic host... hot coffee and warm cookies... who could ask for more?

Thanks Mike for having us in. We met some nice folks, and had a great time playing as a duo. We've named the duo '18 Strings', as between us, Steve Tanguay and I have 18 strings on our instruments.

What an amazing, magical, fantastic, once-in-a-lifetime night...

The Toughcats were amazing. They are so entertaining. If you get a chance, don't miss these guys!!!!

We played a stripped down version or our tunes here. It was a small place, so we went with just Brad, Eric and myself. Siiri Soucy of Tree By Leaf also sang with us on a bunch of songs. Her harmonies add so much to the sound. It really makes it fun. I wish I could have her with us at every gig. Eric and Brad were right on, so we had a couple of great set. It was fun to get down to Portland as well, since it is such a great town for live music. Thanks go out to the Dogfish Grille, and especially Tree By Leaf for having us play.

The New Years By The Bay event in Belfast was really fun. There was tons of great music, and lots of people out on the town. We had good crowds show up for our two sets at the U.U. Church. Unfortunately, we had a great deal of trouble with our sound. It was very frustrating, but we still had a good time.

We had a great time at the Blues Cafe. Derick and his crew there are great hosts, and the Orono crowd was fun as always. I'm sure we'll be back again soon. Special thanks to Tree By Leaf for joining us. Find them in our links.
